Some Favorites

 Mary has been growing leaps and bounds the last few weeks. She has started purposefully communicating with us by using the sign for milk, saying "dada" (and "mom" once!) and pointing at everything. She can also shake her head yes and no and sometimes responds to questions that way. And she is developing quite the sense of humor! Here are some pictures of her in action.

Her first "writing" toy. She has definitely got it figured out and is working on better control of the stylus!

She got some birthday balloons which she loves! She crawls around with them in hand and even pulled them through her tunnel. Here they are "trapped" in the tent.

She also got a cell phone. It has buttons for her to push, she she is really into right now.

Mary's 1st Birthday

Mary is 1! This year has gone by fast but Mary has just gotten cuter and cuter. Here are some pictures from her party.

7 month happenings

Mary is 7 months old! She is an expert roller and loves sleeping on her stomach. She can also sit up very well and uses her feet to pick things up. She went swimming, lost her voice, loves to play peek-a-boo, and is fascinated by mom's ring. She is always sticking her tongue out and looking around. Her first food was avocado and so far her favorite food is sweet potato.

This past weekend we went on a hike and pilgrimage to Prague with the young adults of OKC.

We signed Mary up for the "Swim Babies" class at Joel's company. Its been a lot of fun. Mary is very comfortable in the water and mostly just takes it all in. She also floats very well! Ruth was very excited to get her in the pool. With summer right around the corner, we will probably be in the water a lot!
